MEET the Music ( Workshop )
Workshops at Blue Lotus festival will provide audiences with a unique opportunity to interact directly with selected groups of artists. The objectives of the workshops are to uncover the wide and varied range of music genres; learn about the artists and their stories; present different folk instruments and the different ways of playing them; get to know the meaning of the songs being played as well as their cultural context and much more. Audiences will also be able to play rare instruments, as well as experiment with natural body paints and learn some wild tribal dance moves.
Although the basic structure of the workshop will be maintained (introduction, short presentation of artists and instruments, learning & making music together - singing, dancing, clapping – and Q&A sessions) the workshop will be built on live and spontaneous interaction between the audience and musicians. So bring your hands, eyes and ears and be ready to discover the folk side of your soul!
